By Air

When arriving from overseas, you will arrive at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi or the Jaipur International Airport. The Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi is India’s largest and handles a lot of traffic every day. Etihad, British Airways, Gulf Airways, Lufthansa, Oman Air, and other major international airlines operate here. Delhi, being the Indian capital, gets flights from all major international locations, including London, New York, Melbourne, Paris, Rome, Kuala Lumpur, Istanbul, Dubai, Muscat, and many more. In comparison, the Jaipur International Airport is tiny and serves just a few international destinations such as Dubai, Kuala Lumpur, Muscat, and Bangkok.

Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Airport in Agra is a domestic airport that also serves as a military airbase, and it solely handles domestic aircraft. You may get here via connecting flights to Delhi or Jaipur. Many well-known Indian airlines fly on these routes, including Jet Airways, Air India, SpiceJet, Indigo, and Go Air.

By Train

The Golden Triangle routes are served by the Northern and Western Railways. The Rajdhani Express is one of the quickest trains running between Delhi and Jaipur. Ajmer Shatabdi is also an express train that travels between these two cities in 4 hours and 20 minutes. There are trains from Delhi to Agra, but we recommend taking the road for this short trip.

There are several railway stations in Delhi, including the Old Delhi Station, the New Delhi Station, the Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station, and the Delhi Sarai Rohilla Railway Station. So, make sure you know where your train is leaving from ahead of time. Agra has railway stations such as Agra Cantt, Raja ki Mandi, Agra Fort, Agra City, Idgah, and Yamuna Bridge. Jaipur Junction is a large railway station, although it is the city’s sole one.

By Road

With the Yamuna Expressway in place, the road trip from Delhi to Agra is fantastic. You will get a sight of the majestic Yamuna River, which this bridge crosses. Agra is 233 kilometres from Delhi and takes about 4 hours to travel.

The distance between Delhi and Jaipur is 281 kilometres and takes around 5 hours to go. You may rent outstation Ola cabs, taxis, or private automobiles. If you want to experience Indian buses, there are Rajasthan-run state buses called RSRTC or private Volvo buses that are more pleasant.

The distance between Agra and Jaipur is 238 kilometres and takes little more than 4 hours to go. Again, the RSRTC (Rajasthan) and UPSRTC (Uttar Pradesh) are local, state-run buses, but many private buses also operate. Local taxis, cabs, vans, and other vehicles are also available for hire. However, before hiring, make sure to compare pricing.

The Delhi-Agra-Jaipur area of India is fairly close to each other and hence experiences nearly identical weather conditions. Except that Jaipur is located in Rajasthan and is more exposed to the Thar desert.

Because of the physical triangle formed by the three cities, they endure summers, monsoons, and winters together and have usually comparable temperatures. Rainfall may vary since Jaipur receives less moisture and precipitation than Delhi and Agra. Summer (March-May)

Winter months from October to February are ideal for visiting the Golden Triangle, with typical temperatures ranging from 22 to 32 degrees Celsius. December and January are cold months not just in Delhi but also in Jaipur. Thar’s sand heats up quickly and also cool down quickly in freezing temperatures.
