Before leaving Thailand, you must take this half-day excursion to three of Bangkok's most important temples, which are famous for their cultural significance and Buddhist sanctity.
The first stop of the day is the Wat Trimit, also known as the Temple of the Golden Buddha. This modern temple was built to house the renowned 3-meter-tall Buddha statue made of 5.5 tones of solid gold. A stunning solid gold Buddha in the Sukhothai style was discovered by chance after a painted and embellished statue fell while being relocated to a new location.
Wat Pho, also known as the Temple of the Reclining Buddha, is one of Bangkok's oldest temples and can be found while walking through Chinatown. The Buddha, which is 46 meters long and 15 meters high, depicts the Buddha's ascension into nirvana. This magnificent temple complex houses Thailand's first university, the largest collection of Buddha statues, and the birthplace of traditional Thai massage.
The third and final temple is Wat Benchamabophit, also known as the Marble Temple. Inside this monastery, which was built in the 19th century from white Italian Carrara marble, is one of the most exquisite Buddha statues in the country.
Day 7: Departure From Bangkok
