Itinerary

Day 01:

Arrive and meet us at Chandigarh Airport or Railway station, and drive to Narkanda in about 8 hours journey by cab. On the way to Narkanda, you can visit the beautiful villages of Fagu, Theog, Matiana, Narkanda, and Apple orchards. After a long day of exploration, enjoy the overnight stay at the hotel in Narkanda.

Day 02:

Post breakfast; proceed to Kinnaur Sangla via Sarahan which is also known as the gateway to Kinnaur Valley. Continue your journey by visiting the Hattu peak (3,400 meters/ 11,154 feet) and submerge in the scenic beauty of the Himalayas. Next on your trip, is the traditional wooden carved temple of Goddess Kali, Hawa Mahal, Cricket Ground, and Oldest Mahal of the King of Himachal. After the temple tour, drive to Sangla Valley. The day ends with an overnight stay in the hotel in Sangla Valley.

Day 03:

Enjoy the local sightseeing of Chitkul Sangla Valley. The tour starts with a visit to Kamru village and Kamru Fort, a temple dedicated to Goddess Kamaksha Devi. Next is the visit to Sangla, a popular village known for its incredible sloping architecture and scenic charm. There, you can chat with the locals and explore their simplicity and hospitality. Chitkul is another village which is the last inhabited village near the Indo-Tibetan border. There, you can enjoy being in the hands of nature in the Baspa Valley. Conclude your day with an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 04:

After breakfast visit Kalpa Village which is about a 2-3 hours drive from Sangla Valley. On the way, you can explore Reckong Peo, the district headquarters of Kinnaur district, enjoy a delicious lunch of choice at the local restaurant, and head towards the Kalpa and Roghi village. Famous for their production of apricots and apples, these villages also get you to catch sight of Mt. Kinner Kailash Mountain. Spend the night at the hotel to round off your day.

Day 05:

Drive to Tabo, which is about a 9 to 10-hours' drive from the Kalpa Valley. On the way, you can explore Puh, Nako, and Gue villages – the last Indian village on the Indo-Tibetan border. There, you can visit the naturally preserved mummy of a Buddhist monk about 600 years old. Upon arriving at Tabo, check into the hotel.

Day 06:

Visit the Tabo monastery which is the oldest monastery in the Himalayas. Later, reach Kaza which is about 3 hours drive from Tabo. You will also visit the Dhankar village, Dhankar monastery & fort and stop over for a cup of tea or lunch with a local family. The day ends at checking into the hotel at Kaza.

Day 07:

Drive to Lagnza after breakfast and explore the offerings of the local market and meet & spend time with the natives. Enthusiasts can visit the monastery located at the top of the village. If weather conditions permit, you can drive to Hikkim, which is the highest-located village in the world. Later in the day, continue the drive towards Kee Monastery and the Kibber village. During the afternoon, you can dine at the restaurant with a choice of Indian and Tibetan delicacies. Return to Kaza in the evening to spend your night at the hotel.

Day 08:

Drive to Chandratal Lake by crossing Kunzum Pass and Baltal. Enjoy the mesmerizing scenic view of CB ranges peaks to absorb nature’s aura inside you. Spend the complete day cherishing the beauty of the lake and natural surroundings; followed by an overnight stay on a camp at Chandratal Lake.

Day 09:

Drive early for Manali; stop for breakfast at Chandratal Lake camp and lunch at the hotel. This day covers the crossing over two high mountain passes Kunzum Pass and Rohtang Pass. On the way, you can visit the temple and catch glimpses of the unparalleled beauty of mountain ranges and Glaciers. Reach Manali in the evening and spend the night at the hotel.

Day 10:

After breakfast, drive to Chandigarh via Kullu, Aut, Hanogi Devi Temple, and Pandoh Dam. Continue your drive to Chandigarh and arrive in Delhi by evening. The Spiti Valley tour ends here.
